For all badminton fans and those who want to become one, here is our review film.

A TOP QUALITY FIELD OF COMPETITORS

The HYLO® Open boasts more top stars than ever. These include Olympic champion Viktor Axelsen, who recently played his comeback tournament in China. Other international greats such as Kenta Nishimoto, Lee Zii Jia and Christo and Toma Junior Popov will also be featuring at the Saarbrücken tournament. In addition, local heroes like Marvin Seidel, Thuc Nguyen, Stine Küspert and Isabel Lohau are looking forward to playing in front of a home crowd.

Tournament director Frank Liedke was similarly excited about the tournament lineup:

The standard has increased hugely this year. We have had great lineups in recent years, but this year’s entries include the absolute global elite. This will be a delight for any badminton fan!

He also emphasised: ‘The tournament’s upgrade promises not just a stronger and more prominent field of competitors, but also more international fans travelling to Saarbrücken to cheer on their stars. This will benefit not only the tournament, but also the city as a whole and the Saarland region.’
