A partnership with a bright future!
URSAPHARM Arzneimittel GmbH and HG Saarlouis have begun a pioneering partnership. We want to work together to boost handball in the region, provide fresh momentum and create ideal conditions for players and young talent.
HG Saarlouis has been a key player in Saarland handball since it was founded in 1995. With over 1,000 members and more than 30 teams, it is one of the largest and most successful handball clubs in the region. It has been particularly successful in its youth work, which has already produced countless national and first-division players. One current example from the HG Saarlouis stable is Marko Grgic. Currently the Handball-Bundesliga league’s top scorer, his performances have put him in the spotlight, and he will be transferring from ThSV Eisenach to top team SG Flensburg-Handewitt in the summer of 2026. Grgic left HG Saarlouis three years ago.
With URSAPHARM as their new main sponsor, HG Saarlouis have gained not only financial support but also a strong partner committed to further developing the club and handball in the region for the long term. Boris Röder, Head of Corporate Corporations at URSAPHARM, stressed:

One key part of this collaboration is providing the club with sustainable support at various levels. The partnership includes a range of measures to promote the club and its players. As well as supporting the professional team, youth work will also be bolstered. The aim is to promote young talent as effectively as possible and offer prospects for performance-oriented handball.
With this collaboration, URSAPHARM is sending a strong message for the future of handball in the region and creating new opportunities for HG Saarlouis to develop further on a sporting and organisational level – with the long-term goal of establishing professional handball in Saarland.
