DTL finals 2024: a historic gymnastics event in Saarbrücken

On 7 December 2024, the Joachim-Deckarm-Halle in Saarbrücken will be playing host to a very special event: the DTL gymnastics finals. For the first time in over 40 years, the DTL gymnastics finals have returned to Saarland. To crown the women’s, men’s and junior German champions, Germany’s top federal league teams will be battling each other with top national and international stars among their ranks.
‘Home final’ for 50th anniversary
For TG Saar, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary as a club this year, it is a huge honour and delight to have been selected as the organiser and promoter of this Deutsche Turnliga (DTL) event. And the cherry on the cake to mark this celebration: the Saarland team are not only organising the finals but also actively competing in the mini final for the bronze medal.
More than 100 volunteers from the TG Saar member clubs’ membership base have put in countless hours of preparations and will be ensuring smooth running and an unforgettable, top-class gymnastics experience for all attendees.
Schedule and qualified teams
The DTL finals include three exciting competitions: the junior final, women’s final and men’s final featuring the top federal teams at the end of the main season.
- Junior final (9 a.m.): This sees the top teams in the men’s north and south junior leagues competing against each other. The participating teams are:
- North: SC Cottbus Nachwuchs, TT Berlin-Halle Nachwuchs, Turn-Team Nord Nachwuchs
- South: Turn Team Bayern Nachwuchs, Turn-Team Baden Nachwuchs, KTV Straubenhardt Nachwuchs
- Women’s final (2 p.m.): The top four teams in the women’s league will be competing for the title. The main final sees MTV Stuttgart battling TSV Tittmoning-Chemnitz, whilst TG Mannheim and TZ DSHS Köln will face off in the mini final.
- Men’s final (6 p.m.): The men’s final also features the top four teams in the league. The main final will be between KTV Straubenhardt and TV Wetzgau, whilst the mini final sees TG Saar compete against Eintracht Frankfurt for the bronze medal.
Elite German athletes and top international gymnasts
Spectators can look forward to fantastic gymnastic performances from elite athletes on the German gymnastics team including Helen Kevric, Elisabeth Seitz and Sarah Voss, world parallel bars champion Dauser, TG Saar‘s young bucks Daniel Mousichidis and Maxim Kovalenko, and various top international gymnasts.

Tickets are still available for all competitions. These can be purchased online or at the gate. Tickets for the junior final are available for five euros at the gate only. There are still seated and standing tickets available for the women’s final, whilst the men’s final only has standing places left. Buy tickets online here.
Schedule for spectators
- Junior final: doors open: 8 a.m., competition begins: 9 a.m.
- Women’s final: doors open: 12:30 p.m., competition begins: 2 p.m.
- MMen’s final: doors open: 4:45 p.m., competition begins: 6 p.m.
Important information: warm ups will begin around an hour before each competition starts. The hall will be cleared after each final.
