Jürgen Doberstein: film première and world championship defence in Saarland

Dobermann’ has conquered the screen and will also be stepping back into the ring soon: early 2026 brings two major career highlights for professional boxer Jürgen Doberstein.

Documentary première

The documentary film ‘Jürgen Doberstein – his path to the world championships’ is celebrating its première at Theater am Ring, Saarlouis on 17 January 2026. Director Roman Redzimski spent more than ten years following Doberstein and has created a complex portrait – from his early youth, to injuries and comebacks, to the everyday life of a professional boxer.

‘The film highlights the values underpinning his success – discipline, perseverance and passion. These are values that we at URSAPHARM also identify with. We are delighted to be celebrating this special moment with Jürgen’, said Boris Röder, Head of Corporate Communications at URSAPHARM.

As well as sporting successes such as winning the 2024 GBC World Champion title, the film also shows the people behind the boxer – their loyalty, their team spirit, and the importance of family and mentors.

URSAPHARM Fight Night IV – a very special evening of boxing

Just a few weeks after the film’s première, the Stadtgartenhalle Saarlouis will be transformed into a boiling pot on 21 February 2026: Doberstein is stepping into the ring to defend his world championship title. The local hero is known for his precision, tactical finesse and tireless resolve – qualities that have made him one of Germany’s strongest super middleweight fighters.

His opponent will be announced in January, but one thing is already clear: this fight will demand a top-class performance from Doberstein. The evening will also include some exciting preliminary fights in various weight classes.

URSAPHARM Fight Night IV promises more than just a title bout: it will be an evening that showcases the variety and passion of boxing. Fantastic preliminary fights in numerous weight classes will ensure variety and excitement, whilst the very special atmosphere for both audience and athletes will make this a unique experience.

We are delighted to be able to host two world championship title bouts in Saarland on the same day.

Michael Schultheis, Jürgen Doberstein’s manager

Another highlight: heavyweight champion Yakup Saglam will also be defending his title. A KO rate of more than 77 percent makes him one of the most dangerous punchers in his class – meaning extra excitement is guaranteed.

‘We are delighted to be able to host two world championship title bouts in Saarland on the same day. This is truly unprecedented for the sport and its fans in our region’, Jürgen Doberstein’s manager Michael Schultheis said.
