T100 French Riviera: Justus Nieschlag focused on pace and the race

Things continue on Saturday morning (30 August): Justus Nieschlag is lining up at the start of the fifth race in the T100 Triathlon Series – the Pro Race in Saint-Raphaël on the French Riviera. The race, which includes a 2km swim, 80km cycle and 18km run, begins at 7:05 a.m. This is a challenging and varied course – which is exactly why the HYLO® SPORT athletes love it.

Sprint start into the Mediterranean, up inland

The race begins directly on the beach in Fréjus. The start promises to be fast-paced: a short sprint into the water then a lap in the Mediterranean – with wind and waves that could thin the pack early on. The cycle is a large lap along the coast and into the hilly interior. Technical sections and wind-prone areas make this a challenging course. Nieschlag knows the route and is delighted with the setup:

This is an exciting, enjoyable course. I am going to step on the gas and give it my all.

The final run is four laps through the nature reserve. This will be about finding rhythm and tapping remaining strength – a moment where experience and mental resilience mean everything.

A clear focus on the race

Recent weeks have not been without their challenges for Nieschlag. He has had to deal with cycling restrictions caused by a medical diagnosis of stenosis. However, his focus has been on racing – and on what he can do. ‘Despite all the current uncertainty, I am looking forward to the race’, he said. The start in Fréjus is part of his current season – and another decisive step forwards.

HYLO® SPORT are supporting Justus Nieschlag in his triathlon career. The partnership represents focus, clarity and a desire to develop further – even in difficult conditions. Nieschlag is the epitome of this attitude: reflective and ready to get the most out of every single race day.
