Team75 Motorsport once again produces youngest ever Carrera Cup race winner

Record series
Last weekend, Team75 Motorsport from Landstuhl made history at the Sachsenring in the Porsche Sixt Carrera Cup Germany: with his victory in last Sunday’s race, 17-year-old Janne Stiak from Steinhude in Lower Saxony has become the youngest ever winner in the history of the Carrera Cup Germany since this brand cup was created in 1990.
But that is only part of the story: just five months ago, his now 18-year-old teammate Robert de Haan from Eerbeek in the Netherlands was himself immortalised as the youngest ever race winner in German Carrera Cup history with his triumph on 27 April 2024 in the Saturday race at the Motorsport Arena Oschersleben.
And there is even more: 24 years ago, on 28 May 2000, Team75‘s owner Timo Bernhard was himself the youngest ever race winner during his season opener at the Hockenheimring.
Timo, born on 24 February 1981, was 19 years, three months and four days old when he achieved his win. His team’s two current drivers were not yet even a twinkle. Robert, born on 22 June 2006, won his third race of the season in Oschersleben at the tender age of 17 years, ten months and five days. Janne, born on 10 March 2007, was able to top this on 8 September 2024 at the brand’s twelfth race of the season when he was 17 years, five months and nine days ‘old’.
This means that Timo Bernhard himself and his Team75 Motorsport have now set this record for the third time, achieving this ‘title’ in the Palatinate three times over. They are helping to write a new, very special chapter in the eventful history of the Porsche Sixt Carrera Cup.
Janne Stiak: ‘I am of course proud to be the youngest ever Carrera Cup winner. This is something very special, since Timo himself set the same record in 2000. When I began my first year in the German Carrera Cup, this success was still far away, and I genuinely did not expect to achieve this goal after just a year and a half. And of course, I was happy to take the baton from Robert.’
As the team owner, I am of course very proud that we have managed to break this record twice this season – the youngest ever race winner in the Porsche Sixt Carrera Cup Germany.

Timo Bernhard: As the team owner, I am of course very proud that we have managed to break this record twice this season – the youngest ever race winner in the Porsche Sixt Carrera Cup Germany. In Oschersleben it was Robert at the age of 17 years and ten months, and now at the Sachsenring, our young Janne beat this at 17 years and five months. Doing this twice in one year is quite a feat – for the two drivers, but also for the team. I am therefore very proud of our Team75 Motorsport. And if you know that I, as team owner, also held the title of “youngest race winner of all time” as a 19 year old in 2000, then it’s an amazing story – no other team apart from us can offer that.’
