Gabriel Clemens: out in Minehead, looking forward to World Darts Championship

Saarland darts pro Gabriel Clemens qualified for the Players Championship Finals 2024 (22 to 24 November) at the Butlin’s Minehead Arena in the UK. This prestigious tournament brings together the best 64 players in the world, qualifying via the Players Championship Order of Merit. The event serves as a vital acid test before the World Darts Championship.

Clemens‘s tournament came to an end in the first round: his first match was against reigning world champion and subsequent tournament winner Luke Humphries, where he was beaten 2:6. Clemens missed a few chances at the beginning of the match, whilst Humphries then capitalised on his opportunities and quickly established a 3:0 lead. Despite a brief resurgence by Clemens, who managed a break in the sixth leg, he was unable to turn the game around.

Focus on World Championship

The Saarland player is now fully focused on the upcoming World Darts Championship, which starts at the legendary Ally Pally on 15 December.

The draw for the 2025 World Darts Championship in London took place on Monday (25 November). Gabriel Clemens, one of the top 32 players in the PDC Order of Merit, will enter the tournament in the second round, where he will face the winner of Niels Zonneveld versus Robert Owen. Clemens has a good chance of moving forward to the third round, where he could potentially face Dave Chisnall.

This draw gives Clemens a doable task, and he has some exciting duels to look forward to in Alexandra Palace.

We are looking forward to upcoming appearances from our #hyloathletes and wish all of our HYLO® partners much luck and success.
