HG Saarlouis

HG Saarlouis (HGS) is the biggest handball club in Saarland. HGS was founded in 1995 when the handball divisions of the clubs SC Saargold Lisdorf and DJK Roden merged. HG Saarlouis has enjoyed some major successes in the past, such as being promoted to the 2. Handballbundesliga in 2009.

HG Saarlouis is known for its successful, active youth work and its efforts to promote young talent. Numerous national and first-division players trained at HG Saarlouis.

The club has a loyal fan base and plays its home games at the Stadtgartenhalle in Saarlouis.

HG Saarlouis plays in the 3. Liga Staffel Süd-West.

From the fan shop at home games or by request via social media or email. HG Saarlouis does not currently have an online fan shop.

The kids escorting the team this season come from our own youth players, and in the future external teams / player escorts can also submit requests to HG Saarlouis via all available channels.

HG Saarlouis train at the Stadtgartenhalle Saarlouis. There will be a public training session open to all fans during the preparatory period (summer 2025).
