Justus Nieschlag
Triathlon is a wonderful combination of three disciplines: swimming, cycling and running. There is something for everyone in this discipline, as it ranges from short distances for children through to very long distances for athletes who want to push their limits – the full gamut!
I first discovered triathlon at the age of ten, alongside gymnastics, swimming and track and field athletics. I was fascinated and captivated by this sport right from the outset, and remain so today. I started with school competitions and then climbed my way up to becoming a world-class athlete. I have now moved from the sprint and short distance disciplines to middle distance. But I am not planning to stop there! I would like to step up to long distance in the next few years.
