Darts world elite meet in Saarbrücken
Darts extravaganza at the HYLO® Saar Darts Gala 2023
It’s finally time! The HYLO® Saar Darts Gala 2023 is being held in the Saarlandhalle in Saarbrücken on Friday (9 June 2023). Darts world champion Michael Smith, local hero Gabriel Clemens and his national team partner Martin Schindler, and some other top players from the world of darts will once again be creating an electrifying atmosphere at the show event to the delight of celebrating darts fans.
Countless local darts fans and enthusiasts are looking forward to seeing their stars live and up close. For Saarland darts giant Gabriel Clemens, being able to play in front of a local audience is a fantastic opportunity. Despite the show nature of the event, the previous year’s winner naturally wants to defend his title.
The actual participants, method of play and group allocations have now been set. Play will be in two groups. The first group will contain Michael Smith, Joe Cullen and Martin Schindler, and the second group consists of Gabriel Clemens, Dirk van Duijvenbode and Mark Webster. After the group matches, the top and second-placed players in each of the two groups will face their counterparts from the other group in the semi-final to determine who makes it to the final.
Before the semi-final, there will be a show match with two special guests: the German duo Clemens/Schindler from the World Cup of Darts will play a doubles match alongside two prominent guests. The German Giant will be appearing with javelin legend and long-time URSAPHARM partner Boris Obergföll. The federal javelin coach and personal trainer of global star Johannes Vetter is looking forward to an appearance in an entirely different sport. Perhaps he will gain new inspiration for his training routine! Martin Schindler’s partner will be the world-renowned YouTube star from Saarland, Jan Stemmler. He is part of freekickerz, one of the most successful football YouTubers on the planet. Together they have already lined up for free kicks with Lewandowski, Aubameyang, Balotelli and Manuel Neuer to delight millions of fans. We will see how on-target the professional goalkeeper and YouTube star proves to be at the darts board.
Various interviews with top players onstage, players and shows on the big video screens, and a photo box with the opportunity to take wonderful memory photos all round out the offerings of this unique, unforgettable Darts Gala.
