JOINING THE FRAY: EIGHT FÜCHSE COMPETING FOR THE 2023 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE!

The 28th World Men’s Handball Championship has been running in Poland and Sweden since last week. This has been a fantastic success so far for the German national team, whose players have already won both their group matches – against Qatar 31:27 and Serbia 34:33. As well as the championship team, the successful tournament launch is also being celebrated by another team: Füchse Berlin! Because this year, a total of eight players from the Berlin team have joined the fight for the world championship title.

The most notable is Füchse captain Paul Drux, who is playing for the German team. Two-time winners Denmark can boast three Berlin players in Mathias Gidsel, Jacob Holm and Hans Lindberg. Pivot player Max Darj is playing for European champions Sweden, left winger Milos Vujovic is boosting Montenegro’s national team, and Mijajlo Marsenic joins the international playing field in a Serbian jersey. It is not yet clear whether Füchse’s goalkeeper Dejan Milosavljev will also be on the Serbian team – the native Serb suffered a ligament injury in his foot while training last month, and has been out of action since then.

The HYLO® Sports Team would like to wish all the Füchse, and of course also the German national team, a successful 2023 World Championship – may the best team win!
