PROWIN VOLLEYS CONQUER THE TOP OF THE TABLE

A united team that keeps its promises – this is probably the best way to describe the performance of the proWIN Volleys in the match against SSC Bad Vilbel last Saturday. This volleyball team made it clear in advance that they would fight as a team for nothing less than the top spot in the standings. No sooner said than done: They defeated the Hessian opponent SSC Bad Vilbel 3:1 and secured the top spot in the 3rd Division South. 

This success was initially on shaky ground, as the proWIN Volleys got off to a bumpy start in the first set. After neither team was able to gain an advantage at the beginning, the proWIN Volleys initially fell behind by 17:21, but then found their rhythm shortly afterwards and won the first set 24:22. In the second set, TV Holz showed a consistently strong performance and decided the set clearly in their favour. Following the 2:0 lead, however, the SSC came back with a score of 21:25. It was a setback that did not unsettle the proWIN Volleys. In the last set, the volleys played as if they were from a single mould and finished the home match with a score of 25:11 – and the leap to the top of the table!

Now it’s time to assert themselves as a team at the top in the long term. The next challenge awaits the proWIN Volleys on 28 January in another home match in Saarbrücken against the DVV Bundesstützpunkt team from Stuttgart.
