PROWIN VOLLEYS WIN TOP MATCH AGAINST USC KONSTANZ

The plan of the proWINVolleys TV Holz against the league leader USC Konstanz last Sunday was to fight as a team for the top of the table. And it worked out very well: With a score of 3:2, the players of TV Holz succeeded in asserting themselves clearly against their competitors in the multifunctional hall of the Landessportschule Saarbrücken, and also in securing themselves second place in the table with 22 points. 

The proWIN Volleys built up pressure from the start and won the first set by 25:21 and the second set even more clearly by 25:16. After USC Konstanz held their own in the following two sets with scores of 25:23 and 25:20, our team from the Saarland really stepped up the pace and secured the points for the overall ranking with a 15:7 win in the deciding set. 

For the proWIN team, this result not only means a successful start to the new year, but it also means that their victory could have a decisive impact on the rest of the season. There are now just 2 points between the volleyball teams of TV Holz and the league leaders USC Konstanz. In the next match, on 14 January against SSC Bad Vilbel, the aim now is to secure a comfortable position and further extend the lead over the third-placed team, TSV GA Stuttgart.
