The German gymnastics team for the World Championships is confirmed!

After the final and deciding World Championships qualification on Saturday (09.09.2023) in Heidelberg, the German Gymnastics Federation DTB has selected the squads for the World Championships in Antwerp.

So under the leadership of head coach Gerben Wiersma, the women will travel to the World Championships in Antwerp, Belgium, with the following line-up: Sarah Voss (TZ DSHS Cologne), Emma Malewski (TuS Chemnitz-Altendorf), Pauline Schäfer-Betz (KTV Chemnitz), Meolie Jauch (MTV Stuttgart), Karina Schönmaier (TuS Chemnitz-Altendorf) and Lea Quaas (TuS Chemnitz-Altendorf).

The ultimate decision about the final allocation of the five starting places for the women will be made during the preparatory training before leaving for Belgium. The sixth gymnast will travel to Antwerp with the team as reserve.

The men’s team under Valeri Belenki will be made up as follows: Andreas Toba (TK Hanover), Nils Dunkel (SV Halle), Lukas Dauser (TSV Unterhaching), Pascal Brendel (KTV Wetzlar) and Lucas Kochan (SC Cottbus). The sixth man and thus the reserve will be Nick Klessing (SV Halle).

The tickets for the Olympic team competition will be awarded at the championships to be held from 30.09 to 08.10 in Antwerp. The two German teams need to achieve at least twelfth place for this.
We wish the whole team every success at the World Championships in Antwerp and on their way to the Olympic Games in Paris!
