1. FCS Tischtennis

1. FC Saarbrücken Tischtennis is the former table tennis arm of 1. FC Saarbrücken football club, and has been an independent club since 2011. The division was one of the founding members of the federal table tennis league in 1966. The team played in the top federal table tennis league until the late 1970s, and has again since the 2000s.

Since it was founded in 2011, the club has consistently reached the top federal league playoffs every year, and been in the final six times. 2010/11 was the club’s most successful season, when they were the German Cup winner, Champions League semi-finalist and German Championship runner-up. The club became German champion for the first time in 2019/20.

Patrick Franziska has been playing for 1. FCS Tischtennis since 2016. Before that he played for Borussia Düsseldorf (2014 – 2016).
